back home

i'm in istanbul. i was at the cranberries concert the day before yesterday. it was the first time i saw them live. they rocked!! dolores is so sweet and friendly. i'm looking forward to the u2 concert in september!! i have never seen them live before and i'm so psyched. i love irish bands. gwan ya mad yokes!

in other news, i'm melting here and loving it. it was so rainy and depressive in austria when i left.

should i watch something or go to bed? hmm...

4 people had something to say:

  1. I have Zombie on my iPod. That is all.

  2. The Cranberries are still going? Mad. I remember when they used to be good but then Dolores went a bit mad thinking she was Bono or someone.
U2's latest album is crap - there, I said it - but their concert at Olympiastadion in Berlin last year was absolutely brilliant. They can still put on a great show even if they can't make records to hit their own standards anymore. I used to see them five times on every tour they did and it still wasn't enough, so I'm a bit disappointed to only be seeing them once this time around.
The National, Arcade Fire, Beirut and Interpol are where it's at these days.
Say hi to Bono when you see him and enjoy the show - it will be great. (Seriously - I'm just jealous.)

  3. fweng: i would make song suggestions but our taste is quite different.

irish berliner: is being a singer in a rock band and saving the world an irish thing? :) they're still good. they are wonderful live.
yeeeah i'm not a huge fan of u2's new album either, they have to do better than that. but that doesn't change the fact that i'm super psyched for the concert. i wish i could say hi to bono, maybe i can if he picks me up from the crowd during "with or without you"!! nah he won't i'm too tall for him.

  4. I think it's just a Bono thing. He does it because he's not tall enough to pick up girls from the crowd at concerts. Although having said that he manages to do it all the time - get there early and it could be you!
